What we collect

When you use MealEncore, we collect:

• Your name and email address (from Google sign-in)
• Meal records you create (dishes, ingredients, notes)
• Ratings given by family members you add to your account
• Usage data to help us improve the service

How we use it

We use your data to:

• Provide the MealEncore service to you
• Generate insights and surface meal suggestions
• Improve the service over time

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (for example, our database provider).

AI processing

Meal descriptions you record are processed by AI services to infer structured information (dish names, ingredients, etc.). This processing happens on our servers — your raw recordings are not stored permanently.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely in a managed cloud database. We use industry-standard security practices.

International transfers

Some of the service providers we rely on to operate MealEncore (such as our database and AI processing providers) may process your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Under GDPR, you also have the right to access, correct, or export your data.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a locale cookie to remember your language preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
